In wake of the ongoing Middle East war disrupting oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz, options contracts betting on Brent oil futures reaching USD150 by end-April are on the rise. B Brent oil futures for May delivery last dropped 1.5% to USD106.39 per barrel, having surged nearly 50% since the outbreak of the Iran war on February 28. Bets on oil prices whopping USD150 before the end of April have mushroomed tenfold over the past few weeks, options trading in the derivatives market showed.
