CN SAMR Holds Fair Competition Forum, Joined by CATL, BYD, MEITUAN

China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) announced that it held the first fair competition forum of 2026 today (26th), focusing on the theme of "Regulating Corporate Competition Behavior and Building a Healthy Competitive Ecosystem for Enterprises Going Global".

The forum involved in-depth discussions with responsible representatives from China Minmetals, China State Construction, CATL (03750.HK), BYD COMPANY (01211.HK), CHERY AUTO (09973.HK), Didi (DIDIY.US), and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), among others, to gather opinions and suggestions. Meng Yang, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Meng introduced the Administration's efforts in maintaining fair market competition and supporting enterprises in cultivating new competitive advantages. He emphasized that the Administration will resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, strengthen anti-monopoly regulatory enforcement, enhance corporate compliance guidance, deeply rectify "involution" competition, and so on.
