EY Report: EU Sees Trade Deficit with CN in Auto/ Parts for First Time

Ernst & Young (EY)'s recent report indicated that the total imports of Chinese automobiles and parts by the European Union (EU) have, for the first time, exceeded the EU's related exports to China, reported Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA).

Last year, the EU's exports of automobiles and parts to China slid by 34% to EUR16 billion, more than halving compared to 2022, the report indicated. Meanwhile, the EU's imports of automobiles and parts from China lifted by 8% to EUR22 billion last year.
