LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) issued a positive profit alert yesterday, forecasting its 2H25 net profit to have risen by 186-197% YoY to RMB2.532-2.632 billion, while its revenue will have grown by 194-214% YoY to RMB14.6-15.6 billion, according to a Jefferies research report. While LAOPU GOLD's revenue and net profit were roughly in line with Jefferies' expectations, the adjusted net profit beat both the broker's and the market's forecasts by 10-15%, which is believed to be due to better-than-expected gross margin and strong operating leverage in 2H25.
