China launched a food contamination investigation at a Sushiro branch in Beijing, promoting the share price of Food & Life Companies (3563.JP), the operator of Sushiro, to plunge, marking the largest slump in over three months.

Prior to this, a Mainland Chinese market regulator public account issued a notice stating that a citizen reported finding parasite eggs in tuna at the Sushiro in Chang'an Tianjie Mall, Mentougou District.

After which, the authority conducted an on-site inspection and preserved evidence from the remaining tuna blocks in the store. A company spokesperson stated that they are verifying the relevant facts.
