The US and China are preparing for US President Donald Trump's state visit from March 31 to April 2, according to the South China Morning Post, citing people with the knowledge of the matter. Officials from both countries have begun discussions on how to revitalize mutual investments, with a particular interest in tightly structured joint ventures, licensing agreements, and light intellectual property models. The agreement between FORD (F.US) and CATL (03750.HK) could serve as a reference example, sources divulged. Under this agreement, FORD will obtain a license for lithium iron phosphate battery technology from CATL to be used in its US factories. China expressed concerns about investment protection, as the US has become increasingly stringent in its review of Chinese investments in the US. Meanwhile, China also discussed the issue of Chinese companies listing, while the US exchanged views on market access in China. AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com |
