On February 1, smoke and fire were reported at the driver's seat of a Xiaomi SU7 vehicle in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, a spokesperson for XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) revealed. The fire was swiftly extinguished by the fire rescue department, and no injuries were reported at the scene.

The spokesperson added that the vehicle owner received the assessment report yesterday (4th), which concluded that the incident was caused by a fire source left inside the vehicle igniting surrounding combustible materials, not due to the vehicle itself.

The so-called "firework" situation seen in online videos was caused by the vehicle's airbags exploding due to the fire, and was unrelated to the battery, the spokesperson said. The group will assist the customer in properly handling subsequent matters.
