CATL Robin Zeng: Zero-Carbon Tech to Propel Sustainable Energy Era

Robin Zeng, Chairman of CATL (03750.HK), delivered a video speech at a summit event in the UAE saying that humanity is undergoing an energy transformation, transitioning from an era of fossil fuel exploration and extraction to a new age of harnessing energy from wind farms and photovoltaic power stations, storing it in batteries. Technological advancements have made sustainable energy solutions commercially viable, and CATL is driving renewable energy toward true economic competitiveness across a range of application scenarios. Zeng believed that a circular economy will be key to achieving zero-carbon energy. Unlike fossil fuels, materials in zero-carbon energy systems can be recycled. Currently, CATL's nickel and cobalt recovery rates reach 99.6%, and lithium recovery rates amounted to 96.5%, both the highest in the industry.
