ASIAINFO TECH, ABB Robotics Jointly Establish 'Embodied Intelligence Laboratory'

On 25 January 2026, a grand inauguration ceremony was held for the "Embodied Intelligence Laboratory", a joint initiative by ASIAINFO TECH (01675.HK) and ABB Robotics, as announced by ASIAINFO TECH. The laboratory marks a major step forward in the practical implementation of the strategic cooperation between ASIAINFO TECH and ABB Robotics in physical AI sector. The ceremony was attended by Alibaba Cloud and NVIDIA, both of whom will provide in-depth technological support for the development of the laboratory. The laboratory will integrate the leading strengths of ASIAINFO TECH in AI applications, 5G-A communication technology and cyber security as well as the leading strengths of ABB Robotics in robotic control, with a focus on cutting-edge areas such as industrial simulation and physical AI that based on the vision-language-action (VLA) large model of Alibaba Cloud and the simulation platform of NVIDIA. It aims to overcome the bottlenecks in perception, decision-making and execution capabilities of intelligent agents in complex real-world scenarios, and to build a full-chain innovation system covering 'technology research and development-results transformation-industrial deployment', accelerating the deployment of physical AI in manufacturing sector comprehensively through multi-party collaboration.
