In light of the earlier-than-usual “spring rally”, investors may take profits ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday or the Two Meetings of the PRC, namely NPC and CPPCC Meetings, Daiwa said in its report. Meanwhile, the broker anticipated that liquidity support and stimulus policies will shore up the A-share market, but the upward momentum will slacken, leading to a “slow bull market”. The broker reiterated its positive view on the market in the first half of 2026. In terms of equity allocation, it recommended investors concurrently invest in both mainland China and Hong Kong stock markets to achieve balanced sector exposure. It remained optimistic about Hong Kong's internet and high-dividend stocks, while also favoring the A-share technology hardware and equipment sector.
