In the US, the DJIA set a record high. In China, Shanghai Composite Index touched an over-ten-year high. Hong Kong bourse echoed the uptrend. The HSI closed up 363 points or 1.4% at 26,710. The HSCEI added 95 points or 1% to settle at 9,244. The HSTECH hiked 85 points or 1.5% to finish at 5,825. Total market turnover for the day was HK$291.758 billion. For techs, TENCENT (00700.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) mounted 1.3-1.7%. BABA-W (09988.HK) dipped 1.3%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) rose 0.7%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and NTES-S (09999.HK) jumped up 2.2-3%. EAST BUY (01797.HK) and BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) spiked 4.7% and 3.9%, respectively. After Nvidia released its open-source autonomous driving platform, HK-listed autonomous driving stocks WERIDE-W (00800.HK) and PONY-W (02026.HK) soared 4% and 6.9%, respectively. HESAI-W (02525.HK), selected by Nvidia as a LiDAR partner, leaped 5.9%, while HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK), a provider of intelligent driving chips, swelled 3.8%. Automakers BYD COMPANY (01211.HK), SERES (09927.HK), and XPENG-W (09868.HK) jumped up between 3.4% and 4.1%, while XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) fell 1.5%. Overseas bank stocks ascended, with HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) and STANCHART (02888.HK) climbing 3.1% and 1.9% respectively. Mainland Chinese stocks also rallied, with insurers CHINA LIFE (02628.HK), ZA ONLINE (06060.HK), and PING AN (02318.HK) spiking 4.3-5%. Brokers GF SEC (01776.HK), CITIC SEC (06030.HK), CSC (06066.HK), CGS (06881.HK), HTSC (06886.HK), and GTHT (02611.HK) shot up 5.9-7.7%. CICC (03908.HK) rallied 8.7%. Other financials posted gains, with HKEX (00388.HK) and AIA (01299.HK) up 2.9% and 2.6% respectively. As commodity prices elevated, gold miners such as ZHAOJIN MINING (01818.HK) jumped up 7.3%; ZIJIN GOLD INTL (02259.HK), ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK), and SD GOLD (01787.HK) mushroomed 3.6-4.5%. Resource stocks such as JIANGXI COPPER (00358.HK), CHINAHONGQIAO (01378.HK), and MMG (01208.HK) skyrocketed 4.9-6.1%. CMOC (03993.HK) leapfrogged 3%. Chinese property developers such as CHINA JINMAO (00817.HK) and LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK) ballooned 5.3% and 4.5%, respectively.
