China-state-owned COFCO International is loading Argentine wheat at its port facilities in Argentina, marking the first shipment of Argentine wheat to China since the 1990s, reported Bloomberg.

Last Friday (12th), the Argentine government had reduced export taxes on agricultural products, with wheat export taxes lowered by 2 ppts to 7.5%. Argentine wheat has seen a bumper harvest due to an almost perfect growing season, making it the cheapest globally.
