Uber (UBER.US)'s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, anticipated that, by the end of 2026, robotaxi services will be available in over ten markets, with potential markets including Hong Kong and Japan. The Company is currently discussing regulations related to robotaxis with regulatory authorities.

In July, Uber and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) announced a multi-year collaboration plan to launch driverless taxi services in several markets outside the US and China through the Uber platform.
