JPMorgan issued a research report estimating that BRILLIANCE CHI (01114.HK) will have a cash balance of approx. $1-1.5 per share on its balance sheet by the end of this year. Along with the forecasted EPS of RMB0.64 and an expected dividend payout ratio of 50%, the broker anticipated 1H26 dividend to be $0.35-0.9 (if with special dividend), implying a dividend yield of about 8-21%. Although BRILLIANCE CHI's dividend level is attractive, JPMorgan believed that subsequent dividend amounts may rapidly decline as the Company's cash level has been less abundant than before, and the profit of the BMW Brilliance joint venture in the Chinese market may continue to face challenges. The broker lowered its 2025/ 2026 earnings forecasts for BRILLIANCE CHI by 11%/ 4%, and cut its target price from $4.7 to $4.1, recommending investors to lock profit.
