US President Donald Trump indicated that he might consider reducing tariffs on certain American goods, though he emphasized that the broad imposition of additional tariffs helps attract investment and revitalize industries such as automotive and semiconductor manufacturing.

When asked whether he would consider cutting tariffs on more goods beyond coffee, beef, and bananas, Trump said tariffs would go down on some goods and up on others, and the currently approved tariff exemptions are only very small exceptions.
