The terms of all recent agreements between the US and China are very specific, allowing the former to easily monitor compliance, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer remarked. So far, China has been adhering to these agreements, and has fulfilled its commitment to purchase about one-third of U.S. soybeans during this planting season. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent separately mentioned that although China will not accelerate its soybean purchasing pace, it is expected to continue purchases this quarter. Since the agreement with China, soybean prices have elevated 12-15%. Regarding the question of whether chipmakers like Nvidia (NVDA.US) should provide advanced chips to China, Greer replied that the U.S. needs to act cautiously. While the White House hopes companies maintain good profit, the government must ensure that national security remains a top priority. AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com |
