Tesla Car Sales Down 19% in UK in Nov; BYD's Leaps 229%

Tesla (TSLA.US) posted a 19% downfall in car registrations in the UK in November, totaling 3,784 units, preliminary data from research institution New AutoMotive showed. Previously released data from other European markets also indicated considerable decrease in November. In contrast, Tesla's Chinese competitor BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) experienced a 229% leap in UK sales in November, reaching 3,217 units. Overall, the UK's new car registrations in November sank 6.3% to 146,780 units. Registrations of BEVs dropped 1.1% to 38,742 units, while PHEVs grew 3.8% to 16,526 units.
