A Chinese venture capital firm has acquired a portion of ByteDance's shares, valuing ByteDance at USD480 billion, Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources.

According to foreign media reports, venture capital firm Capital Today outbid several interested companies to acquire shares from ByteDance's early institutional investor, Bank of China Group Investment.
