The HSI climbed 37 points, or 0.14%, to settle at 25,867 by midday. The HSCEI dipped 7 points, or 0.1%, to 9,143. The HSTECH fell 56 points, or 1%, to 5,550. Morning turnover totaled HKD143.581 billion.

KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) added 1.8% after reporting a 26% growth in 3Q adjusted profit. LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) gained 1% at midday following a 40.5% rise in interim net profit.

For other techs, NTES-S (09999.HK), set to release earnings after today’s close, dived 3.3%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) extended post-earnings losses, sagging another 3.6% by midday. BABA-W (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK) declined 0.6% and 0.8%, respectively. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) edged up 0.1% and 0.2%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) jumped up 2.3%, but BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) slid 2.8%.

CATL (03750.HK) plunged 8.2% to close at HKD470 as the lock-up period for cornerstone investors expired, with turnover reaching HKD4.514 billion. In the auto sector, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) lost 1.6%. NIO-SW (09866.HK) eroded 2.8%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) cratered 3.9% and 4.6%, respectively.

Chinese property developers rallied on foreign media reports that China is weighing a new round of housing market boosters. SUNAC (01918.HK) leapfrogged 10.5%. R&F PROPERTIES (02777.HK) and CHINA VANKE (02202.HK) shot up 6.7% and 5.7%, respectively. CHINA RES LAND (01109.HK), KWG GROUP (01813.HK), SINO-OCEAN GP (03377.HK), and LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK) mounted 3.4-4.2%.
