The Zhengzhou Market Supervision Bureau conducted an administrative talk with the operating entity of TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK)(TCOM.US)'s travel website, citing issues of unreasonable restrictions on transactions and trading prices imposed on platform operators through service agreements, trading rules and technical means, according to Chinese media.

The authorities instructed TRIP.COM-S to undertake thorough rectification measures addressing issues such as ‘mandatory activation and inability to opt out’.

Within the stipulated timeframe, the Company must complete tasks including revising contract terms, optimizing pricing tools, and establishing sound and long-acting compliance mechanisms.

Earlier, the Guizhou Provincial Market Supervision Bureau also talked with five travel platform enterprises, including TRIP.COM-S, TONGCHENGTRAVEL (00780.HK), Douyin, MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and Fliggy.
