Robin Zeng, Chairman of CATL (03750.HK)(300750.SZ), said at the 2025 World Power Battery Conference (WPBC2025) that the currently mass-produced 4th-generation lithium iron phosphate batteries are comprehensively leading the industry's mainstream second- and third-generation products in terms of high specific energy, long lifespan and high power. The fifth-generation products have recently begun mass production, achieving new breakthroughs in energy density and cycle life. The company's collaboration with JD-SW (09618.HK)(JD.US) and GAC GROUP (02238.HK)(601238.SH) to launch the 'National Good Car' is based on the choco-swap battery system, Zeng added.
