The HSI inched up 98 points or 0.4% to 23,752 at midday. The HSCEI added 46 points or 0.5% to 8,623. The HSTECH hiked 48 points or 0.9% to 5,267. Total half-day turnover of the market amounted to $124.14 billion. For techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) climbed 2.5% to $117.5, while TENCENT (00700.HK) slid 0.4% to $510. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) lifted 2.6% and 4.3%, while BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) picked up 1.4%. JD-SW (09618.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) gained less than 1%, while NTES-S (09999.HK) ebbed 0.6%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) ascended over 2%. For financials, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) and HKEX (00388.HK) lost 0.4% and 0.3%, while AIA (01299.HK) ticked up 0.8%. Chinese insurer PICC P&C (02328.HK) jumped up 2.8%, while ZA ONLINE (06060.HK) sagged 3%. Chinese developer CHINA RES LAND (01109.HK) elevated 4%, while homebuilder HENDERSON LAND (00012.HK), which is included in the FTSE Real Estate Sub-Index, mounted 4.7%.
