The HSI ended the day up 141 points or 0.6% at 23,654. The HSCEI rose 56 points or 0.7% to close at 8,576. The HSTECH climbed 29 points or 0.6%, closing at 5,219. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD212.687 billion.

XPENG-W (09868.HK) announced on its official Weibo account a strategic cooperation with Huawei, under which its new cars will be equipped with Huawei's HUD solutions. XPENG-W ballooned 2.1% to HKD78.5. NIO-SW (09866.HK) grew 1.6% to HKD27.95. It reported a loss of RMB6.891 billion for 1Q, while predicting deliveries to soar 25.5-31% in 2Q. Among other carmakers, GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) advanced 2.7%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) edged up 0.5%. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) added 1.4% to HKD406.2. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK) inched down 0.2%. Smart driving chip stock HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) leaped 2.5%.

INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK) was hyped up 14.1%. UBS cited the company as envisioning breakeven for this year. Other pharma stocks continued to be speculated overwhelmingly. LUYE PHARMA (02186.HK) and INNOCARE (09969.HK) rocketed over 6%. CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK) and FOSUN PHARMA (02196.HK) shot up 4.1% and 3.8%, respectively. SINO BIOPHARM (01177.HK) and HANSOH PHARMA (03692.HK) mushroomed over 3%.

In the tech sector, MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) swelled 3% to HKD140.7. TENCENT (00700.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK), and NTES-S (09999.HK) inclined 1-1.4%. BABA-W (09988.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), and SMIC (00981.HK) added less than 1%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) dipped 0.6%. NETEASE MUSIC (09899.HK) escalated 6.8%. MEITU (01357.HK) dropped 3%.

Regarding financial stocks, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) rose 1.1% to HKD93.15. HKEX (00388.HK) jumped up 1.9% to HKD403. It once hit a nearly three-year high of HKD403.6 intraday. AIA (01299.HK) slipped 1.4%. STANCHART (02888.HK) hiked 2.5% to HKD122.3. ZA ONLINE (06060.HK) and PICC P&C (02328.HK) sank 3.1% and 4.5%, respectively.
