CAAM Issues Proposal to Regulate Publicity & Application of Driver Assistance, Eliminate Excessive Marketing

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and the China Society of Automotive Engineers (China SAE) released a “Proposal on the Standardization of the Publicity and Application of Driver Assistance” suggesting that enterprises should fulfill their responsibilities for the quality and safety of the product.

The proposal also proposes to regulate marketing and promotional behavior, eliminate false propaganda and excessive marketing, avoid the use of vague or misleading expressions and ensure that the naming of functions is scientific and rigorous, so as to prevent the risk of misuse and abuse by drivers.
