JD: Food Delivery Orders Delayed Over 20 Min. to Be Free

JD-SW (09618.HK)(JD.US) issued an open letter to its delivery riders, stating that all JD food delivery orders delayed by more than 20 minutes will be free of charge, effective immediately. In a separate announcement, JD addressed issues of some platforms forcing riders to choose between two services or blocking them from accepting JD's food delivery orders. To support riders’ freedom to take orders and protect their income, JD introduced urgent assistance measures. These include expanding full-time rider recruitment, increasing openings from 50,000 to 100,000 over the next three months.
