The Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) held the OASES Enterprises Signing Ceremony, announcing the fifth batch of strategic companies, comprising 18 domestic and international firms.

These include three renowned pharma companies, naming GSK plc (GSK.US), Roche Holding (RHHBF.US) and Merck & Company (MRK.US), as well as Chinese social platform Rednote and US-based cultural and creative enterprise that integrate I&T into its work VOBILE GROUP (03738.HK).

Financial Secretary Paul Chan said in his speech that, with the new batch of companies developing their businesses in Hong Kong, the total number of strategic enterprises settled through the OASES exceeded 100, bringing investment of over $60 billion in total and creating approx. 22,000 jobs.

Meanwhile, these companies also introduce transformative ideas, world-class expertise, global perspectives and innovative spirit, further enriching Hong Kong's rapidly developing innovation technology ecosystem.

The new batch of enterprises includes cultural and creative businesses integrating I&T into work for the first time, Chan added. He believed that the global digital entertainment market is growing rapidly, and Hong Kong possesses unique advantages in reinforcing connectivity.

As an international city with an open and diverse atmosphere, Hong Kong has become an ideal platform for such enterprises to grow and expand across Asia and the world.
