Huawei's New Pura 70 Series Sold Out in 1 Min; AAC TECH Reportedly Core Supplier of Advanced Camera

Sales of Huawei's Pura 70 Ultra and Pura 70 Pro started today (18 Apr) at 10:08 am, priced from RMB5,499. On Huawei's official website, many models of the Pura 70 series were labelled "not for sale" or "temporarily out of stock" less than a minute after the official launch. Meanwhile, at around 9:40 am this morning, a long queue had formed at the entrance of Huawei's flagship shop in a business district in Shenzhen, according to the media.

Huawei announced that the Pura 70 Pro+ and Huawei Pura 70 models will go on sale next Monday (22 Apr).

According to Huawei, the Pura 70 series is equipped with the industry's first ultra-concentration telescopic camera, new HarmonyOS 4.2, and upgraded BeiDou satellite messaging with picture messages support. The whole series also supported AI remote control, smart payment, and access to the Pangu foundation model, which brought more intelligent applications such as AI erasers and AI cloud enhancement.

In addition, wallstreetcn.com, citing sources, reported that AAC TECH (02018.HK) is the supplier of the external telescopic parts for the ultra-concentration telescopic camera onboard the Pura 70 series. AAC is now trading at $25.8 near midday close, up 3.8%, with 2.19 million shares traded, involving $55.5 million in capital.
